More about our tutors…

All of our tutors are private tutors that teachers or are led by teachers. We formed this site because we were tired of paying high fees to gain tutoring clients. Either we weren’t making money or our clients were paying a higher price for our services so a company could make money off of the work we were doing. Many of the tutors on those sites were not even qualified to tutor. Here, we ensure that our network are licensed teachers, or tutors that have a licensed teacher supporting their tutoring, so that you know that you are getting quality tutoring that will end with results, not just spinning your wheels. We don’t charge high fees, just enough to cover transaction charges and a little extra to help market, so our tutors don’t have to increase rates to make money tutoring.

Our tutors are passionate about teaching and helping our clients fulfill their goals, We all commit to working hard to communicate with you in understanding what you hope to achieve and helping you achieve those goals!

Meet our Tutors

Why tutoring?

Does tutoring really work and is it worth the investment? Yes! As teachers, we can tell you that if you are searching for a tutor for your child, this is the only way you will get learning that is targeted for you child’s needs, not a pre-prescribed program that has to be taught to your child no matter what, as we are forced to do in a classroom in a of 25+ kids. Even in small group tutoring, those groups are designed for the kids in that group!

If you are looking for tutoring for yourself, individual and small group learning is the most successful learning approach, no matter the age. One of our tutors, Patty, is currently teaching in a high school that is shifting to a small group approach because they understand this is best way to meet individuals where they are at.

Does tutoring really work?

Confidence & Life Long Skills

Students who receive tutoring outside of the classroom develop confidence and apply this newfound confidence to their in-class performance. The skills learned in tutoring sessions are transferable and provide lifelong benefits.

In a large-scale study at least 85%-95% of participating students showed improvement after just two months of tutoring.

Each Session is Designed for You

With tutoring, you pick what you need to learn, how you want to learn it and the sessions are designed for you in mind. If you take classes, they are predesigned before you ever enter the picture, meaning the content isn’t designed for your needs.

Tutoring in reading writing and math resulted in a 70% success rate, with 87% of tutees showing significant progress.

Social Emotional Health

Struggling students face social and emotional challenges that impact their mental health. As students gain confidence, they will experience a positive shift in their overall mood and mental health. A Harvard Kennedy Study found that students with tutors showed “improvements in non-academic outcomes including mental health and life satisfaction, as reported by the students, their parents and teachers.”

(NOTE: Tutoring should not replace mental health supports as needed.)
